Broadband - Broadband Guide - What is "ADSL"

"ADSL" stands for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line.
Basically what this means is that as it is "Asymmetric" it is able to send more data via the downstream line (for users to download data) than it does via the upstread line (for information received by the user).

ADSL2+ is now being implemented that has double the capacity of ADSL.
