ADSL2+
is starting to get integrated into the UK broadband market. What
ADSL2+ does is basically double the capacity of ADSL
so speeds of 24mb are available for downloading and a possible 3.5mb
to upload with!
Again, like broadband already these speeds are dependent on the
distance a user is from the exchange.
Broadband
provider BE
Broadband are rolling out 24mb
broadband in parts of the UK with more exchanges getting access
to this higher speed broadband.
Bulldog
Broadband have launched speeds of 16mb broadband that uses the
ADSL2+ technology.
Fibre
To The Home (FTTH) however is likely to be what eventually replaces
ADSL2+ as this is able to offer broadband speeds of around 100MB.
