Three mobile broadband and Acer laptop with 15Gb usage for £22.50 per month

Three mobile broadband launch new Acer Aspire laptop & mobile broadband deal

acer aspire three Three mobile broadband and Acer laptop with 15Gb usage for £22.50 per month

The latest laptop deal to be added by Three Mobile broadband (VISIT: www.three.co.uk) to their laptop & mobile broadband offering is the Acer Aspire 150b and comes with an extremely healthy 15Gb data transfer per month at a price of only £22.50 per month!

acer aspire 150b Three mobile broadband and Acer laptop with 15Gb usage for £22.50 per monthUsers will enter a 24 month contract with Three for this mobile broadband deal which would be £540 over the course of the contract.

Users will pay just £7.50 per month extra for the laptop than they would for just taking the mobile broadband as a stand alone product at £15 per month. We think that for those who want to be able to pay for a new netbook laptop over the course of 2 years this to be good value as it will only come to £180 for the Acer Aspire 150b which is not a bad price.

To sign up and get this Three Mobile & Laptop deal simply visit www.three.co.uk

New laptop & mobile broadband deal from Vodafone

Vodafone launch new mobile broadband + laptop deal

Vodafone are offering a new Vodafone mobile broadband & laptop deal, although that isn’t new the laptop they have on offer is.They are offering the Acer Aspire 5535 laptop mobile broadband bundle for £40 per month that offers users the laptop and a mobile broadband connection with 3GB data transfer per month on a 24 month contract.

Having done some calculations we thought it would be an idea to tell you the financial out goings with this deal.

A 24 month contract at £40 per month means you will pay £960 over the 2 years for the laptop and the mobile broadband.

acer aspire 5535 New laptop & mobile broadband deal from VodafoneIf you took the mobile broadband 3Gb deal alone from Vodafone you would pay £15 per month which over 24 months works out at £360, although there is going to be a 3 months free offer starting on this mobile broadband price plan which would mean a saving of another £45 and making the total mobile broadband deal over the 2 years at £315.

We have had a look online and seen the laptop alone being sold for £389.

So if you were to buy the laptop separately and the mobile broadband alone from Vodafone it would cost you £704, which is a saving of £256 over the 2 year period, this equates to around £10.66 per month.

The option of spread paying over this length of time might make the extra £10 per month worthwhile for some, for many it might be worth spending the extra £250 on a better laptop or just keeping it in your own back pocket.

Broadband without phone line

There are a few different options available if you want broadband without a phone line either because it costs around an extra £11 per month or because you live somewhere that doesn’t receive any or a decent speed of broadband connection.

The first option still allows you to receive your broadband direct to your home, just like standard broadband does but this one is supplied by Virgin Media. Virgin Media are a fibre broadband company and don’t use BT’s copper network to deliver their services (well they do, but only in areas where their own fibre network isn’t available). Most broadband companies use BT’s network to deliver their broadband which is why if you choose a standard ADSL provider int he UK that you need to have line rental to receive it as BT won’t let you use their network for free.

The thing with Virgin Media is that they allow you to take Virgin Broadband as a stand alone service meaning that you don’t also need to take a phone line out with them or with BT to receive it.

If you are after the entry broadband for Virgin then you should choose the “Broadband L” package which offers up to 10Mb speed,  Unlimited downloads (fair use policy) & a free wireless router. It costs £15 per month for the first 3 months and then £20 per month after that. View all the Virgin broadband deals.

The second option of broadband without a phone line is mobile broadband. Mobile broadband is supplied by the mobile phone networks and gives you the freedom to use the Internet wherever you have a mobile phone signal. The technology with mobile broadband is always increasing and coverage is improving to offer more reliable network coverage and faster speeds. Broadband speeds from mobile broadband don’t tend to be as fast as standard wired broadband that you receive direct to your house. As mobile broadband is still relatively new the deals on offer are continuing to improve as competition for customers increases. Compared to wired broadband you don’t tend to get as fast speeds or as much data transfer for your money.

That said, mobile broadband can be more useful than wired broadband in that you have the freedom to use it away form your home, you could take it with you and use the Internet from a motorway junction or wherever you get mobile network coverage. Currently one of the most attractive mobile broadband deals on offer is from 3 Mobile broadband who are offering a 15Gb download limit per month for £15 although it does require signing up for a 24 month contract.
There are a number of different mobile broadband providers in the UK to choose from, some offer pay as you go mobile broadband deals and others are pay monthly and contract deals.

Another less widely used option for people wanting broadband without a phone line is to use Satellite broadband which delivers your Internet access direct to your computer via a satellite. To use satellite broadband without a phone line you would need to choose “2 Way Satellite broadband”. Satellite broadband is especially useful for those who live out in very remote areas and struggle to receive a broadband connection through a phone line and won’t receive cable broadband coverage.

The start of the migration started last week as Virgin are set to move their 4 million broadband customers from their own in-house email platform over to Gmail.

All new Virgin broadband email address will be via @virginmedia.com and will come with the Gmail services of POP3 and IMAP access and also receive 7GB inbox space and will be done on the Gmail platform that has proved very stable since it was launched back in 2004.
