If
you have a broadband
contract and want to cancel it before it is up then you may
well have to pay the cost of the rest of your broadband contract.
There
may be certain circumstances (such as moving home and broadband
not available at new address) where you won't incur a charge for
canceling your broadband but this is down to each individual broadband
provider and what their terms & conditions state. We should
note that if you are moving house and broadband is available where
you are moving too then your broadband provider should be able to
assist you with moving your broadband over to your new address.
Check out guide on moving
house & broadband.
If
you do not want to take out a 12 month contract for your broadband
then you should consider looking at taking out a pay-as-you-go broadband
deal where you are not tied in for 12 months and can cancel when
you want without incurring changes.
