ntl:Telewest has become the first provider in the UK to offer consumers a "Quad Play" service consisting of 4 services, internet, fixed-line telephone, mobile telephone and digital TV.
ntl:Telewest bought Virgin Mobile earlier this year so they could extend their offering into mobile phone services too and expand on their current Triple Play service.
At the time of buying Virgin Mobile, Richard Branson jokingly called the offering of four services "Fourplay" instead of the industry standard Quad play.
Customers can have all four services from ntl for £40 per month which includes line rental and ntl claim customers could save up to £400 per year by taking out the Quad play bundle from them compared to buying services separate!
While this latest offer from ntl is likely to entice many new customers it will be hoped that they don't suffer the delays that other providers have faced when launching a new "revolutionary" deal, such as TalkTalk, Orange and Sky who have all faced delays in getting customers connected to their new deals when offering multiple bundled services.
