A man has been stung with a bill for £11,000 for his Vodafone Mobile Broadband usage.
The mans bill came to so much because his wife downloaded 4 episodes of friends through his mobile phone.
His Vodafone Mobile Broadband does offer "unlimited" UK downloads but the problem arose that the downloads started in the UK and before they were complete he flew to Germany, so on switching his phone back on over there the downloads continued, but at a rate of £4.20 per Mb.
Something that will hopefully curb anything like this happening in the future could be sorted by July 1st as Viviane Reding, the European Union commissioner for information, society and media has given this as the deadline for mobile operators to justify higher charges abroad otherwise they will have to disappear.
