BSkyB announced the huge demand they have had for their broadband services is also coupled with a drop of 17% to their pre-tax profits down to £166 million.
The drop has come as the launch of their broadband service has cost them, with operating costs going up £140 million in the quarter.
BSkyB has said they have had interest from 1 million customers for their broadband and had managed to connect 74,000 customers and are taking 20,000 new orders every week.
They have also managed to un-bundle 540 exchanges across the UK and are adding 25 more each week.
