Three TV broadcasters set to launch joint On-Demand service
3rd December 2007
3 rival TV companies are set to launch a joint On-Demand service that will mean TV programmes from each of their channels can be viewed from one place.
The BBC, ITV & Channel 4 are the three channels involved in the partnership which will pull programmes from the BBC iPlayer, ITV's Catch Up service and Channel 4's 4oD.
The BBC & ITV services will also keep their own separate stand alone player while Channel 4 will only have it's service available with the joint player.
The deal still needs approval from the BBC Trust and the other broadcasters boards.
