The Carphone Warehouse is reportedly looking at making a bid to buy the UK arm of Tiscali.
Should they go ahead and buy the 2 million Tiscali Broadband customers it would make The Carphone Warehouse the largest broadband provider in the UK. On top of Tiscali they would also be getting Pipex, Nildram, Freedom2surf and Bulldog who Tisclai have themselves acquired over the years.
Other broadband brands that The Carphone Warehouse already own are TalkTalk & AOL.
Reports from the Times newspaper suggests that the sale price could be between £550 million & £650 million.
It is likely that we will hear that other broadband providers in the UK are going to be looking at buying so we will just have to watch this space!
