BE Broadband is to increase its network coverage in the UK by an extra 15% and take its total coverage up to 67% of the UK population. The roll out should be done by the end of June 2008 and will make their service available to a further 2 million lines as the 400 extra exchanges are unbundled. This will mean that in total that Be will have unbundled 1245 telephone exchanges
Be is owned by O2 (who also use the network to offer O2 Broadband) and is the largest ADSL2+ network in the UK.
Being ADSL2+ means they are able to offer speeds of "up to" 24Mb which is much faster than standard ADSL providers are able to offer.
