Some Orange broadband customers are to be used to trial a free broadband speed upgrade form 8Mb to 20Mb
Some Orange broadband customers are set to take part in a trial to increase their broadband speed from 8Mb to 20Mb for the same price as they are currently paying.
The move comes as Orange look to continue to evolve their fixed broadband services and offer their customers the fastest speeds possible.
The actual broadband speed customers receive can vary on different factors, such as the line quality and the distance from their telephone exchange.
Only last week we saw Virgin Media the fibre broadband provider announce that all customers of theirs who are on 2Mb broadband will have their speed increased to 10Mb as they look to restructure their broadband offers to 10Mb, 20Mb & 50Mb.
The following is what an Orange spokesman had to say.
Asif Aziz, Director of Broadband and Home, Orange UK: This trial is an important step in enabling us to offer up to 20 Meg home broadband to consumers across our network. It is also testament to our ongoing commitment to evolve our fixed broadband service and ensure we offer customers a truly reliable user experience.
