BT Openzone and KeConnect have signed an agreement that will allow customers to both companies to roam and use each others WiFi hotspots across the UK.
The agreement is due to start in May 2006 where users will be able to utilise all the hotspots made available to them. It is hoped that by the end of the year 2500 hot spots will be available across the UK.
The hotspots are being called KeZone (KeConnect and OpenZone) and they are planned to be made available in many public places giving users a great choice and range of access points.
BT Openzone customers already have access to over 8,400 WiFi hotspots across the UK & Ireland and BT Openzone are committed to making partnerships with WiFi providers to make WiFi as accessible as possible.
