With the recent combination of NTL & Virgin mobile came the opportunity for customers to receive 4 services from one provider. Those in the industry named it "Quad Play" but Richard Branson the head of Virgin preferred the name "fourplay".
Quadplay, or fourplay as many will now refer to it is the delivery of television, broadband, home telephone and mobile telephone communications all through one supplier. Quadplay is aimed at making things simpler for customers as they only have to deal with one company and only have to pay one bill instead of multiple bills for each service separately.
Customers stand to save money the more services they take on from 1 supplier and there is likely to be very attractive deals put in place for those who do take out all the services with some speculation that the TV could even be free!
The communications market is turning very competitive as providers are striving to give the best offers and deals to their customers.
