Vodafone mobile broadband to be built into laptops
16th July 2008
Vodafone have teamed up with Lenovo to have mobile broadband capabilities build into their laptops so there will be no need for an external USB mobile broadband modem.
The laptops are going to be pushing the use of Vodafone mobile broadband which was first reported by the company back in January 2006 something they were looking to do.
All new T, X and SL series ThinkPad notebooks will have the connectivity option build into them and will be available from 4th August 2008 and to entice those customers who may not want to make use of the new option they will be offered a 30 day free trial from Vodafone mobile broadband where if they like it they can opt to carry on using it or cancel if they wish.
Another positive point is that Vodafone will be offering unlimited data transfer outside of the UK in Europe, USA, Japan and Hong Kong for just £8.50 per day, this is bound to be an attractive option to business people especially!
