BT Broadband has come top in a study into the actual broadband service customers receive.
The tests run were to check download times and also any connection failures. The study did not take into account customer service, cost or value for money and was purely a study on the broadband/ADSL supplied.
The top 5 providers tested were BT, Virgin, Demon, AOL and then Orange.
Cable providers such as NTL & Telewest were not included in the study.
The tests run are done from 10 locations across the UK by Epitiro, an internet testing company.
