As we reported on earlier today about Euro1net customer having their broadband disconnected Euro1net have released another customer update:
"Action by BT on the 21st August 2006 resulted in Euro1Nets IP Stream service being withdrawn. It has since transpired that BT has also taken the step of ceasing all Euro1Net users who domain ends ‘euro1net.com’
The above action means that we cannot now generate Migration Authorisation Codes (MAC’s) to transfer our users over to one of our other suppliers.
We understand from BT that the markers that are currently on your line will be removed by the 5th September. However, our internal reports show that all the ceases that were placed by BT yesterday are due to complete on the 29th august 2006.
We apologise for the disruption that has been caused, we had hoped that we could seamlessly perform network migration; however, due to the above BT action this will now not be possible.
We will in due course be contacting all our customers with details of the refund procedure to claim any unused subscription back.
We are unable to comment further at this time due to possible legal action against BT."
Unfortunately this is not good news for those customers who have been affected.
For any customers who have paid for their broadband in advance by credit card it is worth contacting your credit card company to try and get a refund if you struggle to get a refund from Euro1net.
