Reports from The Telegraph newspaper are that Vodafone are looking into the possibility of buying UK Tiscali broadband.
Tiscali have 1 million UK customers and Vodafone are reportedly keen to get their foot in the door of the UK broadband market with Tiscali offering a substantial market share.
This is likely to be the result of a number of other companies now offering multiple services through one bill, such as Talk Talk and the recent merger between ntl & Virgin Mobile that will offer Quad Play (or Four-Play as Richard Branson referred to it as) services.
With the way the communications market is moving it is likely that Vodafone are not going to want to be left behind by not being able to supply more services.
