Tiscali TV gets Sky basic channels

29th June 2007

Sky are going to supply Tiscali TV with the very same set of channels that Virgin Media used to have before they were in effect taken away from them due to Virgin claiming the price increase to renew the deal was going to cost too much.

The Sky basic channels include - Sky One, Sky Two, Sky Three, Sky Arts, Sky Travel, Sky News and Sky Sports News. This means Tiscali TV customers will be able to watch prime TV shows such as The Simpsons, Lost, 24 & Prison Break.

Tiscali TV has 50,000 viewers who will be able to view the new channels when they become available this summer.
Virgin are likely to feel even more angry about this situation as they feel it was unfair how they lost the channels simply because they are one of Skys big rivals in the fierce communications market.
