Orange was launched in April 1994 as a mobile phone network who's aim was to be first choice in mobile communications.

April 2006 saw Orange listed on the London stock exchange. In 1999 Orange was sold to Mannesmann AG, that was later bought by Vodafone. France Telecom then bought Orange in August 2000.

Orange has 57 million customers across 17 different countries.

Wanadoo (previosuly Freeserve before that) was re-branded Orange broadband during 2006 as the company sets is sights on being able to offer a number of services to customers in one package.

Orange also offer Orange mobile broadband allowing broadband access wherever they have network coverage.
