Virgin Media launch first own branded netbook for free

Virgin Media has launched it’s first own branded netbook called “Freedom”.

virgin media netbook Virgin Media launch first own branded netbook for freeThe netbook will be offered for free on 24 month (2 year) fixed line and also mobile broadband contracts from Virgin Media. Virgin say that the netbook is optimised to work on it’s 50Mb broadband package and has a stand alone retail value of £300. It will be available for both new and existing customers.

The netbook weighs 1.1Kg and has a 10.2″ LCD screen. It is powered by an N270- Atom processor and has a 120GB hard drive. Customers can choose to have it in Black or in Virgin Red colour.

Virgin has just announced that 50Mb broadband is now available across it’s entire fibre broadband network which is available to over 12 million homes across the UK.

  1. this is an appaling netbook that freezes all the time. I returned it to Virgin who claimed they put a new motherboard and wireless card in. I have just received it back and it has the same problem. To cut a long story short, they are giving away a product that doesnt work properly. Not very good considering how reputable the company are supposed to be. I urge all customers to give this netbook a wide birth.
