BT has agreed a 2 week advertising deal with the company that owns the Daily Star, Daily Express & Channel 5 and will see their readers be offered 6 months free BT Broadband.
Richard Desmond’s “Northern & Shell” company own the Daily Express, Daily Star and Channel 5 and it is in these that BT will be featuring with their offers for the next 2 weeks.
We are likely to see ads, pull-outs and sponsored content in both the papers and on Channel 5. Yesterday saw the launch of the campaign on Channel 5 and a 4 page advertising feature of the free broadband offer in the Daily Express along with a front page advert on the front of the Daily Express & Daily Star.
The special BT Broadband offer will entitle readers to “BT Totally Unlimited” free for 6 months and then £16 per month thereafter on an 18 month contract. Readers of the papers will have an 0800 number to call to register for the offer or they can do so via the BT.com website where they are able to enter an exclusive reader offer code to claim the special 6 months free BT broadband deal.
As for all BT Broadband customers, they will also be able to receive BT Sport for free, this means that they can then watch plenty of live Premier League football along with many other sporting events exclusive on BT Sport.
With Channel 5 due to be sold in May, this deal from BT could have a couple of alternative motives for Richard Desmond’s Northern & Shell company. It may be that BT could be looking at maybe purchasing the TV channel and that BT are the preferred bidder or it could be a clever ploy to help put up a bidding war for the TV channel between BT & BSkyB as these are the 2 most likely suitors who are reportedly after it.

The price of BT Talk and Surf Plus has been reduced in price to just £15.99 per month which also includes 3 months free!
The original price of the Talk and Surf Plus package was £19.99 per month but BT (www.bt.com) have reduced this down to £15.99 per month and also kept the first 3 months free like they have on offer with their other broadband and phone deals.
BT Talk and Surf Plus offers customers up to 20Mb broadband speeds with 10GB monthly usage and a free wireless BT Home Hub on the broadband side of the deal, on the phone side of the deal customers can receive unlimited UK landline calls at anytime up to an hour in length (basically hang up the call and re-dial if the call is going to be over an hour in length to avoid any extra charges).
Line rental is also charged from BT and this costs £11.54 per month and customers have to sign up to an 18 month contract with this deal.
The 3 months free is now worth a saving of about £48 and now this extra saving of £4 per month for the remaining 15 months of the deal is worth an added £60 on the previous pricing so all in all customers are making a very healthy saving with this deal from BT Broadband.
BT are currently investing heavily in rolling out Next Generation fibre broadband with the new BT fibre network being called BT Infiniy which should make fibre optic broadband available to two thirds of the UK by 2015. Lats month BT confirmed that they should be investing an extra £1 billion in fibre broadband so they would be spending a total of £2.5 billion and making it available to more people.
New BT Broadband (View Offer) customers who sign up and take a triple play package or a calls & broadband package will get 3 months free broadband.
For any existing BT customers who already receive their calls from BT but want to add BT Broadband and TV to their subscription can receive a free Vision+ box worth £45!
The offers run until 11th December.
There is a number of decent offers from broadband and TV providers at the moment as they try to do a push for customers before Christmas.

The BT packages you can choose from are “Broadband and TV”, “Calls, broadband & TV” or “Calls & Broadband”, however the BT Home & Away package is not included in the offer.
